Pair of 18th Century Swedish Rococo-Gustavian Footstools

About the Item

An unusual pair of Rococo-Gustavian transitional footstools made in Stockholm. The base has rounded fleurons on the corners and a flower-leaf carving in the bowed center. The legs are turned, tapered and fluted. This piece has older grey paint and has been reupholstered in linen. The original seats are marked with Örebro shipping labels and the inscription - "FW Hedenstedt Örebrohave."
