Martin Visser Prototype SE20 Chair, 'T Spectrum, 1988

About the Item

A very rare prototype of the SE20 chair, designed by Martin Visser for 't Spectrum, the Netherlands (Bergeijk) in 1988. This beautiful chair is completely made of high quality red painted wood and a few chrome-plated metal joints. It's design is smooth and modern. It has a unique style, using different shapes and Design Techniques in one chair. The backrest is slightly tilted backwards, the seat has a subtle curve that provides additional comfort and the front legs are triangle shaped for extra stability. This combination creates a very unique design and this chair is a prototype of the model, made in 1988. The production of the design lasted from from 1989 to 1996. This unique piece is a great find for any (Dutch) design enthousiast! It remains in good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful vintage patina.
