About the Item

An absolutely beautiful and very rare pair of folding chairs from iconic designer Gio Ponti. Produced by also iconic manufacturer Walter Ponti. In original condition, a standout feature of these lounge chairs is the proportionally tall and dramatic back. This is only exaggerated by the almost comically short seat. The design of the frame is sleek yet light-hearted and fun, having a triangular side profile or silhouette. Being relatively wide, they command a presence and centric nature in any room, despite their subtle satin black color. Condition is very good. Original Faux leather is in nearly perfect condition. Light scuffs and marks to original black enameled wood frames. Original labels intact on both chairs, as per pictures. Made in Mantova, Italy. Measures: Seat Depth: 9.75in. Back Height: 30.75in.
