About the Item

Designed by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates, The "Havana" set consists of a chair (model 1717-RC) and matching ottoman (model 1841-O). The FMV workshop did an amazing job on this restoration. All new foam and fabric from top to bottom. Included are (3) custom made throw pillows for the backrest. We had decorators and designers in mind when we chose this soft, textured fabric with subtle flare and character. The overall white tone is broken up with a splash of teal, woven into the canvas in a random dot-matrix pattern. The look is both classic and timeless. We're certain the finished product will meet and exceed your expectations. The iconic half-moon design of the ottoman allows the two pieces to couple seamlessly. The rounded organic forms flow around the tub seat and barrel-shaped backrest. The low profile is classic Mid-Century Modern discipline with all the curves you could ask for. The walnut accents on the armrests are the perfect complement to wood legs, and a fitting contrast to the upholstery. The solid walnut legs are on the original heavy duty rolling casters. Adrian Pearsall (born 1925, Trumansburg, New York) was an American architect and furniture designer. Born in Trumansburg New York. As a young man he went to the University of Illinois and studied Architectural Engineering. He graduated in 1950. Adrian Pearsall founded Craft Associates in Pennsylvania in 1952 to manufacture his own designs. By the late 1950s his designs incorporating walnut became hugely popular. In 2023, Pearsall was posthumously inducted into the Luzerne County Arts & Entertainment Hall of Fame. He was among the Hall of Fame's inaugural class of inductees Chair Dimensions: 37” Wide x 36.75” Deep x 27.75” High (13.5” seat height) Seat width 34” Seat depth 31.5” Ottoman Dimensions: 29” Wide x 19” Deep x 13” High

Opt to buy one set or both chairs with ottomans by selecting the quantity at check out. The two chairs have slight differences. Read the description below and let us know if you want chair A or B when you order. Mid-Century Modern Mr. Chairs designed by George Mulhauser. There’s something indescribably awesome about these Mulhauser chairs in tufted white upholstery. Cool, casual and comfortable in their skin. Anywhere they go, is exactly where they’re supposed to be. If these chairs became sentient, they would ask for a highball and a cigarette. What you’re looking at are two, early, very similar George Mulhauser “Mr Chairs...

Tulip Group Lounge Chairs in Rosewood by K M Wilkins for G-Plan of England
By G Plan Furniture, Percival Lafer, Thonet, Charles and Ray Eames
Located in Chattanooga, TN
Matching sofa also available and sold separately (see last pic). This incredible set was purchased new in Glasgow, Scotland in 1970. We acquired from the original owners who kept them in pristine condition. Designed by K.M. Wilkins for G-Plan of England, this line is appropriately named the "Tulip Group". Wilkins also designed the the well known Housemaster Chair, often misattributed to Ib Kofod Larsen. The "Tulip" design is demonstrated by the rosewood panels which are molded into curves that mimic a blossoming flower. Offered almost exclusively in teak, this rosewood set is truly a rare find. The rich, amber-red panels are perfectly complimented by the chrome hardware and velvet fabric. The luxuriously soft velvet is in amazing condition. The color is difficult to describe, but in our opinion, it's a cross between olive-green and taupe-brown. Of course the refraction of light on velvet can magnify or minimize the tones and highlights depending on the angle and environment. Both chairs hover on their original Magnum Orbit chrome...
