Victorian leather easy library chair

About the Item

Victorian leather easy chair This Victorian leather easy chair was made circa 1885. The deep buttoned back and a deep seat. It stands on oak turned legs with castors under. This design of this easy chair makes them so popular, as they are very comfortable. Imagine sitting back and winding down after a hard day and letting all the stress melt away. We have upholstered this Victorian leather easy chair in fine grade leather before the skilled and specialist hand dying in the faded red is applied, once this has been done and the drying times have passed the building up of the antique finish is started. Once our specialist has built the antique finish to a stage where the leather looks to be as though it has been on the chair all its life, the final waxes are applied. It can now be used for another hundred years. To upholster this chair is a skilled and time-consuming job, and needs a lot of patience as each of the hundreds of brass-headed studs are tapped in. Imagine how good this will look in your home and the pleasure it will bring, especially as your family and friends take it in turns to try it out!
