About the Item
Beautiful and very elegant Danish curved two-seat sofa raised on a beech frame and legs. Probably manufactured around 1950 even if the original design came out of the late art deco era in the 1930's. Banana sofas manufactured around 1950 generally had taller leg to add elegance and make them look a bit more modern. Solid construction with coil springs in the seat and the backrest for support and cushioning. The sofa was re-upholstered at later point and the wool wool is in still clean usable condition showing just minor signs of wear. These increasingly sought after late deco period designed sofas have a great presence about them with alluring low swung very organic lines.
We are able to offer re-upholstery services for this sofa and are able to re-upholster in shearling or lambswool at very competitive prices.
