1970’s Bauhaus Style Chrome Tube Bentwood & Cane Rocking Chair or Rocker

About the Item

Marvelous vintage Bauhaus style rocking chair or rocker comprised of a chrome tube frame and bentwood trim surrounding a cane seat & back. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, there is one small spot where caning repaired in back but no other outstanding flaws detected. Please see photos, zoom in for details, and see long description as they are part of the condition report. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, 1970’s. Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Queen, and The Stones (just to name a few!) … MAN!!!!! The 70’s was an era of the BEST ROCKERS… am I right?? Of COURSE I AM!!! And while this awesome rocker may not be sporting shaggy hair and wearing tight bell bottoms… it’s got some serious FLASH of its own!! That’s right… it has a phenomenal chrome tube frame, which we feel resembles the style of “The Lady Rocker” by Thonet, but this one is not marked so it’s here to make a name for itself. It’s also wearing natural cane on its seat and back surrounded by bentwood trim… Simple, classic, timeless, and STUNNING… Much like other aspects of the 70’s!! Speaking of “lady rockers” … I bet Linda Ronstadt, Stevie Nicks, or Donna Summer would have enjoyed a break backstage relaxing in such a comfortable seat… rockin’ and resting in euphoric bliss!!!! Who could blame them?? And it is simply BURSTING with beautiful Bauhaus style but it will look marvelous blended with many décor styles. It would be wonderful in almost ANY room whether a corner in your bedroom, beside the fireplace in the study, in the family room aside the sofa, or in the music room next to your turntable. Reel in some tunes and rock ‘til your heart is content!! Look, at the end of the day, everything about this chair just ROCKS!!! Literally!!! What more is there to think about? You know you love it… so, make it YOURS!!!!
