This is an antique elbow chair. An English, fruitwood office or desk seat, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1870. Wonderful open-arm form, ideal throughout the home Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order Select fruitwood stocks with fine grain interest and craftsmanship Rich caramel hues beam beneath a wax polish finish Prominent top supports enclose the gently chamfered crest rail Distinctive back rest finished with spheres and faceted motif Sinuous arms cant outwards to follow the line of the seat squab Each arm raised upon a delicate, turned baluster support Quality, later silk cotton upholstery in good order with a tasteful champagne colour Eye-catching diamond pattern accentuated with pink and green palette Drop-in seat cushion set at a comfortable height of 46.5cm (18.25") Raised upon square section legs, each united by turned stretcher rails This is a fantastic antique elbow chair with a tastefully appointed upholstery. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
