Børge Mogensen Early Edition Shell Chairs, Scandinavian Modern, 1950

About the Item

Early and important pair of sculptural side chairs by Danish architect Børge Mogensen. This model was made in small numbers in the early 1950s and they are a very rare find. The seat and legs are made from solid patinated beechwood and the sculpted back from bent plywood - a technique that was brand new at the time.
