Facture Studio's Light Lines collection introduces hand sculpted forms, bringing an organic and soft feel to geometric resin. Always inspired by the artists of the light and space movement and continuing his obsession with creating physical versions of the ephemeral nature of light, Quincy’s hands-on approach allows for the creation of wavy, organic lines that are meticulously sculpted to create Facture’s signature gradients inside and outside of simple geometric shapes.
The interaction of color and light within the resin is, as always, carefully considered, resulting in subtle gradients that shift beneath and above the surface. Each piece reveals layers of color and texture that interact with their environment, showcasing the relationship between material, form, and light. The Light Lines collection is a study in the sculptural possibilities of resin, where the hand of the artist and the inherent properties of the material come together to create hard lined and geometric furniture that is also visually soft.
