About the Item

The Model 925 sofa was designed by Arne Norell for Coja Culemborg in the 1960s. Draped in dark brown, high-quality leather, its plush tufted cushions rest on a solid wood frame, achieving a harmony of softness and structure. Norell’s signature strapped leather detailing accentuates the soft curves of the frame. This rare version of the Model 925 sofa consists of three modular elements; their flexibility allows for a wide range of arrangements, from a grand sweeping corner to a more conversational setup. Arne Norell’s enduring designs commonly mixed leather and metal, as well as turned wood and bentwood. His pieces accentuated the natural beauty of these materials. Simple and casual, yet sophisticated, his sofas, lounge chairs, and other furniture designs embody the Scandinavian Modern style that became popular post-World War II. Condition: Great vintage condition, with a beautiful patinated finish to the leather. The frame is sturdy and shows no significant signs of wear.
