Black Leather FK-883 Three-Seat Sofa by Preben Fabricius & Jorgen Kastholm

About the Item

Here's a rarely seen yet documented design - this circa 1970s 'FK-883' sofa in black leather by Preben Fabricius & Jorgen Kastholm for Alfred Kill International and distributed by both Harvey Probber and Dunbar / Dux in the United States in gorgeous thick black leather on steel frame is in beautiful vintage condition with light naturally aged leather patina and ready to be immediately placed in your home or office. Incredible quality thick and supple black leather and hefty steel frame with sporty arms and legs, this fantastic three seat couch is suitable for interior designers working on luxury interiors and modern design collectors looking for something unique that their friends don't have. The hefty weight of the sofa is indicative of the quality materials and construction inside of this sofa - something you don't see in furniture produced these days. This soft black leather three-seat sofa by Preben Fabricius & Jorgen Kastholm for Harvey Probber / Dunbar / Dux would work great in a Mid-Century Modern, Bauhaus, Scandanavian Modern or Danish modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Post-Modern room. Also consider mixing it up in a Traditional, Transitional, Classical or Art Deco room with a splash of juxtaposition. Would also be an Apt choice in a commercial project such as a hotel lobby lounge or members club, creative design studio or high-rise executive office. An amazing option in place of the Eames sofa, which is much more common and still in production, this FK-883 sofa has similar style but much greater rarity and uniqueness. MEASUREMENTS: H 31" x W 87.75" x D 28.25" CONDITION: Very good vintage condition with no major issues. Light patina and attractive light age. Ready for immediate use.
