Royal House Antiques Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this sublime original George Smith signature collection standard arm three-seat sofa upholstered with Aztec Kilims Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, it covers within the M25 only for the UK and local Europe only for international, if you would like an accurate quote, please send me your postcode and I’ll provide you with the exact price Kilim upholstery furniture dates back to the early Victorian era, they were present in the finest country homes, a Kilim is basically a rug used for upholstery, this sofa has two large kilims used, they are an Aztec pattern and look amazing The cushions are very thick and heavy feather filled, George Smith sofas have a special feature, the backrest stops short of the bottom and leaves a gap for the cushions to go inside the frame, it means the cushions sit in place allot easier and have more feathers, the main reason is through your never sitting on the back edge of the cushion which is where it would be more likely to go flat so you have a better seat for longer The upholstery is in good used condition throughout, it has some light desirable fading to the back which gives it the right English country home look and feel, there will be the odd ware area here and there but hard to see given the Kilim, I can see one patch on the right outside arm Dimensions Height 87cm Width 185cm Depth 102.5cm Seat height 56.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask.
