About the Item

19thc. barrel back leather wing chair This 19thc. barrel back leather wing chair was made in the early 19th. century. Covered in fine English leather before being hand dyed and then the final specialist finish for the antique feel. The leather is secured by hundreds of brass headed studs, a process that takes patience and a lot of skill. The barrel back with the multiple pleats and then the good deep wings. It has a deep loose feather cushion. The mahogany channelled moulded front legs with the Chippendale influence, and with the square splayed legs to the rear. Imagine sitting back on here, relaxing after a hard day and feeling all the stresses flooding away as you settle down. The leather is a lovely olive colour. 78cms wide 30 3/4ins 110cms high 43 1/4ins 73cms deep 29ins 48cms seat width 19ins 55cms seat depth 21 1/2ins 50cms seat height 19 3/4ins All Measurements are as accurate as possible.
