Antique George III Georgian Oak Dovetailed Mule Chest Coffer Drawers 1760
About the Item
A good George III country oak mule chest, coffer, circa 1760.
The lift up oak lid having the original hand-forged strap hinges and encloses a large storage area for bedding, clothes or? The chest with the original pierced brass lock plate, a key is present, the base having two drawers with original corresponding pierced brass handles. To each side of the chest are large brass 'batwing' carrying handles, the chest is raised on shaped bracket feet, the whole case having 'exposed' dovetails.
The chest is in good condition, original finish and brasses, the chest is clean and ready for use, it will provide great storage as it has for over 250 years!
