About the Item
With its particular matter, the Rhizome bookshelf winds through the air, forming in space a kind of calligraphic letter with a thick black stroke. Rhizome was born of a fascination for Japanese baskets, products of the ancient traditional art of woven bamboo, which is used in its entirety, from the stem to the root. A poem in the form of a bookshelf on the energy of plant life, this root that is both fluid and sinuous, carries within it the memory of the energy necessary for it to trace its path in the earth.
