William IV mahogany bookcase

About the Item

This William IV mahogany fitted bookcase was made circa 1830. It is a rare piece as not only is it of a lovely small size, but the base cupboard is also fitted with drawers and pigeon-holes. The upper section has a pair of glazed doors with the carvings and shelves behind the doors. The base has a single panel door that have pillars and carved capitals to each side and a shaped carving across the top. The top surface is polished and finished so that you can use it for display. If you require a narrow bookcase with multiple uses, you have found the perfect piece. This is a high-quality item that would have been custom made to order.
