William IV Channel Islands chest of drawers

William IV mahogany Channel Island chest This small William IV mahogany chest was made circa 1830. It is a rare chest of drawers not only for its size but also the design. The 4 graduated drawers with the moulding running around the edge and original turned mahogany knob handles. The drawers’ linings are chestnut, and the drawer bottoms are lined with paper decorated with medullary rays to simulate oak. The William IV mahogany Channel Island chest stands on bun feet. The top steps forward at each with the bowed flat pilasters tapering from the base to under the top. 80cms wide 31 1/2ins 47.5cms deep 18 3/4ins 84.5cms high 33 1/4ins All Measurements are as accurate as possible.
