Edwardian Mahogany High-Boy Chest

About the Item

Edwardian mahogany high chest This Edwardian mahogany high chest was made circa 1900, using the highest quality mahogany available. It would have been made by Maple & Co, the high-end retailers, and cabinetmakers, who were at that time based in Tottenham Court Road London, but with wonderful showrooms in Paris and Buenos Aires. They have a reputation of selling fine quality furniture and furnishings for the home. It is fitted 7 graduated, mahogany lined drawers, all fitted with the classic pierced brass backplates and swing handles. The drawers all with the moulding around the edges. There is fluting running down the sides to the plinth base. Imagine owning this wonderful quality chest and the vast amount of storage it gives you. There is little or no wasted space, and so you not only have this superb quality piece of Edwardian furniture you are utilising the space for plenty of storage use.
