About the Item
George III Irish mahogany tallboy
This George III Irish mahogany tallboy was made circa 1790.
Irish tallboys are set apart from the British chest on chests of the period as they are made in one piece and so don’t flare out at the waist.
This magnificent Irish tallboy has the 7 graduated drawers all fitted with the original pierced brass handles and lock plates.
Having the dog tooth feature around the flared cornice and stands on the shaped bracket feet.
