Limited Edition Relief Stone Credenza in Soapstone by Fort Standard

About the Item

A part of the “Qualities of Material” collection, this stone credenza has a triangular relief pattern milled into the exterior panels, which removes excess weight and allows the remaining ribs to retain the material’s strength. The soapstone cabinet is cut from one slab of stone, so veining and other natural variations can be beautifully traced throughout the piece. The four-door cabinet is made of two units with one solid stone top and rests on a hard maple base with four heavy duty leveling feet. “Qualities of Material” is a limited edition collection launched in 2016 by Fort Standard that explores natural materials to push them beyond their conventional limits and applications. The collection investigates the properties of wood, stone and leather by employing specific material characteristics to create structural designs in the context of furniture.
