Rare German Art Deco Filing Cabinet w. Perfect Roller Door, Five Drawers & Shelf

About the Item

Finer quality and superb condition, filing cabinet by Ludwig Schraut. This rare German filing cabinet is another fine example of the quality furniture that was made in the earliest years of the 20th century. The angular design and the almost ebony color patina are an absolute joy to look at. This all original Art Deco filing cabinet for home and office is not only pleasing to the eye though. It is as stable as the day it was handcrafted and as you can see, it is extremely well taken care of. The solid wooden roller door (probably beech) still works perfectly too and it comes with a perfect working lock and the original Art Deco key (see image 11). This exceptional condition cabinet comes with 5 drawers and an extra, open space/compartment at the bottom. Not only do all drawers slide perfectly, they are also in extremely good condition (just like the rest of this cabinet). The perfectly clean drawers give space to a lot of love letters, sheet music, comic books, photo albums, paperwork etc. Thanks to its timeless design and excellent condition this antique filing cabinet will look great in different types of interiors, both at home and in your office. This rare specimen is made by and marked (Ludwig) Schraut and it even comes with the original metal tags. One with the company name & phone number and one with the 'Eingetragenes Warenzeichen' which is German for 'registered trademark'. If you like this stunning and practical cabinet as much as we do then you will love our price.
