Swedish Modern 1930s Cabinet by Vingåkers Möbelfabrik with Mjölby Intarsia Decor

About the Item

This is the Swedish Modern 1930s Cabinet with Mjölby Intarsia-decor from Vingåkers Möbelfabrik. It comes in very good condition, made of birch. Veneered with mahogany and decorated with inlays from Mjölby Intarsia. Legs in stained birch. Behind the doors hides two veneered sections with two moveable shelves. One drawer in each section. The inlay-scene from the Garden of Eden, I presume, must have passed the episode with the forbidden fruit. Here the clothes are on. There is also an inlay border, patterned with cups at the bottom of the front and along the sides. The inlay are made of many different types of wood, including mahogany, masur birch and alder root. The cabinet comes evenly colored without fading. There’s a lock in each door. They works and a key is included.
