About the Item

A classicist chest of drawers in Louis XVI style. Made from solid cherry wood around 1800. Cherrywood body standing on 4 tapered square feet with coffered sides and an overhanging top panel with multiple mouldings and beadwork decoration. Three drawers with florally and ornamentally carved fronts. Without key. Style matching key plates and brass drop handles mounted at a later date. Dimensions: 90 cm high / 35.43 inch high, 122.5 cm wide / 48.22 inch wide, 58.5 cm deep / 23.03 inch deep. Internal dimensions of the drawers: 14.5 cm high / 5.7 inch high, 103 cm wide / 40.55 inch wide, 50.5 cm deep / 19.88 inch deep. Ready-to-use condition with signs of age-related wear including visible former repairs. The running function of the drawers has been restored. The top has been refinished.
