Italian Rococo Floral & Butterfly Painted Chest of Drawers, Mid 19th Century

About the Item

Antique Italian Rococo polychrome painted chest of drawers with faux marble top - hand painted in cream and blue with scrolls, flowers and butterflies - solid pine wood construction throughout with doweled joints and tongue and groove drawer fronts - completely hand made - unsigned - Italy (Genoa possibly) - mid 19th century. Good antique condition - all original (including polychrome painted finish) - chipping and paint loss with rubbing/wear from age and use - soiling and touch-ups in areas to the painted finish - paper drawer linings with tears. Size/Dimensions - Medium - 37 3/4" (96 cm.) Wide x 17" (43 cm.) Deep x 29 1/4" (74.3 cm.) High.
