Small Oak Painted Rococo Chest of Three Drawers, Denmark circa 1800

About the Item

A small oak rococo chest of three drawers with brass key escutcheons. The scalloped edge is carried down through the 3 drawer fronts and bottom apron resulting in an elegant chest all resting on four elongated cabriole legs. The newer, professionally applied finish is in layered shades of seafoam green and blue. The paint has been distressed in places to expose the natural wood beneath, enhancing the patina and fitting the age and grace of this lovely chest. Top is painted in contrasting black. The size makes it adaptable to use as a nightstand, side table or simply small chest of drawers. This chest of 3 drawers has been restored, drawers work with two brass pulls each and it is ready to be used and enjoyed. All scratches, cracks, dings, or age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this attractive small chest of drawers. Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting may all impact how item is viewed.
