About the Item
Small pair of 19th century painted commodes circa 1890.
Good quality pair of gustavian influenced swedish commodes, which would work well as a pair of bedside tables or in any other room around the home.
Rectangular top with moulded edging and dentil frieze. Below which are 3 drawers fitted with later brass ring handles. Fielded panels to the sides. Each chest standing on 4 short tapered legs.
Later applied 20th century paint, which has since taken on a faded appearance.
Expected minor surface marks, losses to paint.
Width varies from 22 1/2" to 22 1/4"
