Pair of 19th century painted chest of drawers

About the Item

Pair of 19th century painted chest of drawers circa 1880. Good quality pair of gustavian influenced pair of commodes.  Shaped top surfaces with faux marble hand painted detailing.   Each chest is fitted with 3 drawers and later brass ring handles and shield escutheons. Top surface with moulded edge, which compliments the top drawer's channeled detailing.  Canted corners with applied plaque and fluted sides. Pine lined drawers, with dove tail construction.  Each standing on 4 tapered legs. Later paint, which has since taken on a weathered appearance.  Minor losses to paint on top surface. Superb pair of chest's, which would work in any modern or traditional interior.
