Swedish 19th century painted breakfront chest of drawers

About the Item

Swedish 19th century painted breakfront chest of drawers circa 1880. Elegant and fine quality swedish painted commode.  Breakfront shaped top and block fronted drawer fronts. Stepped top surface with dentil detailing below the moulding.  Fitted with 3 graduating drawers each fitted with brass wreath handles and ornate escutheon plate.  Working locks and key.  Canted corners with fluted detailing to the front and back edge of the chest.  Raised on 4 tapered legs. Later paint, which has since gained a faded appearance with use and surface marks.  Couple of small surface indentations to top surface.  Clear losses and fading to paint and woodwork.
