This antique chest from France features a subtle break-front design that carries through from the marble top to the wood cabinet below. The charcoal top with white veining rests upon a case which houses two drawers, flanked within canted front side posts, and fitted with ornate Neoclassical hardware. The front skirt is also adorn in elaborate Neoclassical hardware at center. The chest is raised on four shapely cabriole legs, with front feet embellished with metal leaves.
