    Marvelous and practical Gothic Revival cabinet from the early 1800s. This rare, Dutch workmanship, Gothic Revival cabinet from the early 19th century for several reasons is another one of our recent great finds. First of all, this ecclesiastical antique is made exactly like it would have been in early Medieval times. Only solid oak was used and to make this cabinet strong and stable for centuries to come, the artisan(s) only used the ancient method of wooden pin-hole connections (as shown in many of our images). Besides that you should also be able to see how hand-forged, wrought iron nails (with a big head) were used to tighten certain connections whilst at the same time decorating the sides and the top of this cabinet.
