About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning and really quite rare original early Victorian hand carved solid mahogany Knee hole desk A very decorative piece, originally made as an ornate and very decorative kneehole desk, now it could be used as a desk of course or as a small sideboard. It has all the original fixtures and fittings, the handles are especially unique, they are a tour de force of style design and craftsmanship We have cleaned waxed and polished the desk from top to bottom, apart from normal age related patina its in fine order throughout Dimensions: Height 76.5cm Width 111.5cm Depth 63cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
