Birdseye Maple Chest of Drawers by Saporiti Italia, Italy 1970s

About the Item

A beautiful birdseye maple wood chest of drawers by Saporiti Italia. This low-profile chest features four spacious drawers, minimalist wooden feet, and a surface with overhang on either side. The birdseye maple is highly lacquered, giving a reflective high gloss finish. We envision this unique piece displayed in an entryway, given the surface is not flush as compared to most chests of drawers. Saporiti Italia maker’s mark is visible on the back as shown. Italy, 1970s. Founded in 1950 by Mr. Sergio Saporiti and still managed by the Saporiti family, Saporiti Italia has contributed to the creation of milestones in the history of Italian design. Catching time off balance and anticipating the future are both the challenge and the vocation of Saporiti Italia. Each item created and constructed by the company is slightly ahead of its time, and it is destined to last, both in form and function, until the next era. DIMENSIONS: 51.25”W x 23.75”D x 25.75”H
