About the Item
A large Georgian mahogany two door linen press with a molded cornice with Greek key motif surmounting two large doors, opening to an interior storage with an adjustable slide out linen shelf, with four fitted lower drawers below. The front paneled doors feature large oval paterae with figured mahogany veneers and the piece is adorned with rectangular decorative molded brass pulls. The case is supported by four bracket feet. This linen press dates to the late 18th or early 19th century and is in good overall condition, with surface restorations, losses, and other imperfections and wear commensurate with age and use. It was used as an entertainment center at some point, with interior cutouts for a television and associated wiring. Dimensions: 76.5 in H x 50 in W x 24.5 in D. Ref: 8
