Bonheur Du Jour In Amboyna Burl Marquetry And Hard Stone Panels

About the Item

Sublime Bonheur du jour in Louis XVI style in amboyna burl veneer in rosewood frames and presenting two magnificent vegetal compositions (flowers and red fruits) in hard stones (pietra dura) mounted on panels of black Belgian marble. Elegant ornamentation of finely chiseled gilded bronze. Foldable orange-red velvet top with flap and large drawer at the belt level. Tier opening two leaves and two drawers; upper top delimited by an openwork gallery. Solid oak frame. Work from the "Faubourg" attributable to a famous Parisian cabinetmaker for an order from the Guithon maison in Bordeaux (signed on the lock) Perfect condition, entirely restored by our workshop, natural varnish finish with a stamp (french polish)
