Louis XV Secretary In Floral Marquetry
About the Item
Sublime Louis XV secretary desk in rosewood and violet marquetry presenting over the entire facade a large floral motif framed by double scrolled foliage.
Curved sides and facade.
Rich ornamentation of gilded and chiseled bronze.
Magnificent Aleppo breccia marble top molded "à la bec de corbin".
The flap opens onto a theater with four small drawers, four niches and an internal compartment opening with two doors.
The Moroccan leather top is decorated with a beautiful iron-gilded frieze. Under the flap, two doors open onto a niche and a large key drawer.
Parisian work from the Louis XV period of very good quality
Very good condition, completely revarnished by our workshop (french polish).
