Elm Secretary Desk, circa the 19th Century
About the Item
We present you this piece of furniture made of solid elm wood with a beautiful grain, circa 1840.
The chest section hides four drawers and a cylindrically closed lid; it is placed on a separate base.
The upper drawer of the secretary desk is retractable, in the form of a top with sliding compartments and a liftable central console with props.
Furthermore, the inside hides a storage and two rows of small drawers.
The inner fronts are beautifully intarsiated.
Presented piece of furniture is after renovation. The whole is finished in shellac that adds depth to the grain.
