This is a superb, extremely ornate and intricately designed Napoleonic style writing desk with bookcase top. The desk is crafted of burled walnut, bronze and porcelain Sevres style figural plaques. The desk features a worn leather writing surface and all of the charm that age provides including patina on the bronze and age cracks. The desk is as-shown and will delight you. The piece dates to the 1870-80s era and is French.
