Sheraton Secretary desk

About the Item

A very fine Sheraton Secretary Desk 1810-1820 in a old refinish with an excellent color and patina. Decorative cross banded veneers and inlay work throughout add to the beauty of this piece. Beautifully cut scalloped apron on the front and sides. The drawer pulls although appropriate in style are an older replacement but are in the original drawer holes. Very good solid condition constructed of Mahogany veneer under white Pine secondary case wood. All the original locks are intact and the drawers are sliding beautifully. Looks English made but could possibly be New England origin.

    Repaired: Very old refinish in excellent condition , one repair the the left front foot, surface imperfections and minor case cracks as expected with age and use. Wear consistent with age and use.
