Tall 19th Century Mahogany 4-Tier Whatnot Étagère
About the Item
A fine-quality, elegant 19th-century four-tier mahogany whatnot. The rectangular top features four identical tiers, all crafted from solid mahogany. Below is a drawer with a turned brass knob handle, supported by tall, elegant turned columns and raised on stylish feet terminating in small brass casters. In excellent original condition, this mahogany display stand—be it a music stand, étagère, or whatnot—retains its original colour and warm patination. England, circa 1840.
