18th Century American Hepplewhite Mahogany Sideboard with Brass Gallery


This is a fine American mahogany sideboard, graceful and elegant, in spite of its size. The top with straight edge and bow-front centre flanked with recessed configurations and containing a bold and elaborate brass gallery over a long central drawer flanked by two cupboard doors. The bottle drawer has the original lead lining with separate compartments. The case piece is supported by straight tapered legs terminating in spade feet, circa 1800. This sideboard is a magnificent example of fine and high style Americana.
