19th Century English Chippendale Low Sideboard

About the Item

This beautiful English Chippendale small sideboard originated in the 19th century. Made of mahogany and beautifully figured mahogany inlay on the drawer fronts, the front two legs are Chippendale cabriole with heavy ball and claw feet. The drawers are joined together with hand cut dovetails. The original brass hard ware is a stunning and sophisticated final touch on this piece. While there are no accompanying keys, this piece has original lock/keyholes for each drawer. The brass company stamped their maker's mark on the lock backs. There is a piece of glass that is custom cut to fit the top of the piece. The glass appears to have been made for this piece in later years from its inception. A truly sophisticated piece that would be a beautiful addition to so many rooms or spaces in your home!
