About the Item

21st c., Commissioned from the New Jersey studio of Geoffrey Noden, a superbly hand crafted, heirloom quality custom sideboard. Mixed wood, dovetailed, with four sliding doors opening to pull out shelves and a lift out cutlery caddy, signed "Noden". Behind each door are three pull out shelves. The top has a subtle curve to the front and the base has a complementary graceful arch. This piece presents the opportunity to own a bespoke and striking work of outstanding beauty. Per the now retired maker, the door fronts are of spalted maple and the body is of ash. The hardware was custom made by Noden. His work is distinguished by meticulous attention to detail. All of the lumber used was from locally acquired hardwoods, milled and kiln dried by Noden Furniture Design. Using craftsman woodworking techniques, such as dovetail and mortise and tenon joinery, the studio produced exceptional quality work of great beauty and high function.
