English Mahogany Bow Front Sideboard With Satinwood Inlay, Ca. 1770
About the Item
Antique English mahogany bow front sideboard with reeded edge, cross banding, inlaid shell corner motifs and satinwood string inlay. The side board with a full center drawer flanked by two left side drawers and a twin facade wine drawer on the right with 12 bottle capacity. All drawers open and close easily with conforming cross banding, corner shell medallions, brass escutcheons and finely cast brass drop ring pulls. The cabinet stands on 6 tapering inlaid spear feet. Comes with a tasseled key.
Dimensions: 25 1/8" D, 35" H, 72" L
Condition: Please see detail photos. There are various signs of age including the top with both light and deeper surface scratches, 2-3 stable age cracks, age crack to lower right side drawer, minor repairs to cross banding, minor veneer lifting on two drawers' satinwood banding, wear consistent with age and use with the Sideboard retaining an elegant Georgian presentation.
