Extraordinary George III Mahogany Demilune Inlaid Sideboard
About the Item
George III mahogany demilune inlaid sideboard with satinwood banding, two cellarette drawers on tapered legs with spade feet. English, circa 1780 - 90. The sideboard with inlaid shell motifs with string inlay and radiating to a scalloped motif. The center drawer with 2 well defined brass lion head ring pulls and flanked by two cellarette drawers and ending with two cabinet doors concealing storage. The sideboard resting on six tapering legs with string inlay detailing and spade feet. Lacking a key.
This sideboard was featured in The Antiques Magazine as shown (insert is not included).
Dimensions: 34 3/8" D, 83" L, 36 3/8" H
Condition: Please see detail photos. There are expected stable age cracks to veneer, cellarette drawer on left side little tight, repair to brackets inside the cellarette drawers, one missing brackets, beautiful aged patina and presenting in an authentic and stately manner.
