About

Rare sideboard / buffet by André Arbus reflecting the exalted modern neoclassical vocabulary of France's master of architecture and interiors of the 1940s. The stunning post art-deco cabinet sits on six legs each terminating in tapered legs covered with gilt bronze sabots. The front is set up with four doors each decorated with matched veneers of cherry to form elegant repeating hypnotic chevron patterns. The entire work is a subtle culmination of sobriety and drama.

Matching dining table (106" length including two leaves) is also available.
