About the Item

Scandinavian modern design, this teak sideboard by Karl-Erik Ekselius for JOC Vetlanda, Sweden, embodies the clean lines, functional elegance, and refined craftsmanship that define mid-century Swedish furniture. Produced in the 1964, this long credenza is a testament to Ekselius’ architectural sensibility and attention to proportion and detail. The front features four beautifully sculpted solid teak panel doors, revealing a versatile and well-organized interior. On the left, a column of six drawers offers superb storage, ideal for cutlery or collectibles. The central and right compartments provide adjustable shelving for flexible use, whether for dining room serviceware or living room essentials. Crafted in rich, warm teak with exquisite grain patterns throughout, the sideboard rests on a minimalist plinth base that gives it a floating presence. Statement piece in both modern and eclectic interiors.
