Scalloped 18th c. Welsh Sideboard
About the Item
An elegant Welsh oak sideboard or dresser base having two-plank top over three cross-banded drawers above scalloped wave form apron on jaunty cabriole front legs ending in pad feet with straight square section back legs. Molded paneled sides. Good rich color. Probably Carmarthenshire, circa 1770. Bearing an old label from the noted dealers Stair and Andrew. These dressers are useful for dining rooms, front halls and behind sofas.
