Beautiful sideboard by Jules Leleu and Paul Henri Goulet. Piece done in sycamore with diamond marquetry details on front doors. Center doors decorated in stylized leaf carving on facade in gold leaf. Side doors open to drawer and shelf. Center doors curve outward and open to one shelf. Three brass keys.
From the year 1947-50 Atelier Goulet designed and created a collection in
collaboration with Jules Leleu.
Maison Goulet was founded in 1855 in Montaigu and in 1925 started decorating the interiors of large vessels and ships. The new workshops in Nantes were the hub of Naval constructin sites. Henri Goulet in particular decorated the vessel liners “Liberte” and “France”.
