White wooden sideboard CRA 041 by Dick Spierenburg for Castelijn, 1980s

About the Item

This very rare Postmodern sideboard provided clue about its origins by a Castelijn label on the inside. Other pieces of this model by the Dutch manufacturer were however untraceable. The old Castelijn archive revealed documents regarding its date of manufacture somewhere before 1988 (when it was published) and its designer, Dick Spierenburg. Spierenburg is an (interor)designer who also worked with many other Dutch manufacturers, amongst which Gelderland, Montis and Arco.
